On Thursday, August 25, 2022, the Faculty of Economics and Business at Universitas Jenderal Soedirman and Bank Indonesia Representative Office of Purwokerto held a Webinar “Financial Investment and Innovation in the Context of Accelerating Digital Transformation”, which was also the closing activity for the “Soedirman Investment Weeks 2022” series of events—presenting the main speaker: Felicia Putri Tjiasaka, CFA, as Investment Storyteller. The webinar raised the theme of investment and financial innovation in the context of accelerating digital transformation. Of course, the Bank Indonesia Representative Office of Purwokerto always synergizes with the FEB Unsoed Campus in accelerating the digitization of investment and financial inclusion among the public and academics.
The Head of the Bank Indonesia Representative Office of Purwokerto, Mr. Rony Hartawan, in his speech, said that: “Currently investors are needed in financing development and need to be developed by paying attention to three main aspects of investing, namely growing investment behavior to support development as a distribution of our love for Indonesia, understand the types of instruments in investing with known risk and return, including green financial instruments, and thirdly we must invest wisely in financial planning”.
Prof. Wiwiek Rabiatul Adawiyah, M.Sc, Ph.D. as the Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Business UNSOED, also stated that the “Soedirman Investment Weeks 2022” activity is an annual routine event organized by the Investment Gallery FEB Unsoed and the Bank Indonesia Representative Office of Purwokerto to increase literacy awareness finance and understanding the role of Bank Indonesia in accelerating the digitization of investment and financial inclusion. The webinar activity lasted two hours with the participant’s interaction program with resource person Felicia Putri Tjiasaka, CFA, and student participants.
As the primary speaker, Felicia conveyed the students to invest smartly. Students in this webinar get various knowledge and tips about investing, managing finances, avoiding a wasteful lifestyle, and investing early on. The webinar ended with a discussion session and continued with the announcement of the winners of the 2022 SIW Capital Trading Competition, which was won by 1st place winner, a team from Prasetiya Mulya University, and 2nd and 3rd place teams from the University of Indonesia.
