ABEST21 International Accreditation Online Visiting

On 7-8 September 2020, the Faculty of Economics and Business, Jenderal Soedirman University (FEB UNSOED) was visited online by assessors from the international accreditation agency, ABEST 21. This visit was carried out following the completion of the Self-Check Report form by FEB UNSOED. The ABEST21 accreditation standard covers six areas: (1) Internal Quality Assurance, (2) Mission Statement, (3) Educational Program, (4) Students, (5) Faculty, and (6) Educational Infrastructure. Each area consists of several standards, and within these standards, there are criteria that describe the standards in detail for self-check purposes.

On the first day of the visit, ABEST21 conducted an interview with the management of Jenderal Soedirman University, represented by UNSOED Rector, Prof. Dr. Suwarto, M.S, Vice Rector 1 for Academic Affairs Dr. Akhmad Sodiq, M.Sc.Agr, and the Head of LP3M, Ir. Suprayogi, M.Sc, Ph.D. In the second session on the first day, ABEST21 conducted interviews with Faculty managers represented by the Dean of FEB UNSOED, Deputy Dean for Academic Affairs, Deputy Dean for General Affairs and Finance, Chair of the Department of Management and Chair of the Master of Management Study Program as an accredited study program. In the third session, interviews were conducted with FEB UNSOED teaching staff, and the last session was interviews with administrative staff of FEB UNSOED.

On the second day of the visit, ABEST21 conducted interviews with students and alumni of the MM program, followed by a presentation session related to campus infrastructure with teams from the UNSOED FEB Integrated Lab and UNSOED Business Management Agency. The online visitation event was closed by giving some suggestions by the ABEST21 assessors team to FEB UNSOED.

The ABEST21 international accreditation process completed in about three years. In the first year, the FEB UNSOED team prepared several documents related to Eligibility, in the second year it was completed with a document in the form of Quality Improvement Strategy (QIS), and in the third year it was completed with a document in the form of a Self-Check Report (SCR). After the three processes were completed, the ABEST21 assessor conducted an online visitation. The results of the accreditation will come out within two months after the online visitation.
