Eighteen students of Unsoed Economics Faculty representing 3 study programs: Accounting, Management and Economic & Development Studies  departed to Hebei, China, on Monday August 27th 2012 to attend Joint Degree Program at Hebei University. The program, according to the dean of Economics Faculty Dr. Haryadi MSc, is a part of cooperation between Unsoed and Hebei University. Three supervisory lecturers were also sent together with the students.

According to the coordinator of Economics Faculty International Program, Dr. Wiwiek Adawiyah, the students will spend a half of their undergraduate degree at Hebei University, ranging between 1-2 years. “They will stay in Hebei University’s student dormitory”, Wiwiek said. As international students, they will have access to various facilities such as modern library, free shuttle bus etc.

This is the second time Economics Faculty sends its students abroad. Previously, some students were sent to North Malaysia University for a similar program. These international cooperations are expected to improve institutional quality and bring Unsoed to international recognition, in line with its vision to become World Class Civic University.  (pras/ipunk/pj)
