(5/9) Located in the 3rd floor Roedhiro Building auditorium, Data Management Laboratory of Economics and Business Faculty Jenderal Soedirman University in collaboration with the Microsoft User Group Indonesia (MUGI) community in Purwokerto area successfully held an Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning seminar. The event was officially opened by the Vice Dean for Academic Affairs, Dr. Adi Indrayanto, SE., M.Sc. In his opening speech, the Vice Dean for Academic Affairs wished that the seminar could broaden participants’ insights about the existence of increasingly advanced technology and be able to integrate it in other fields of science.
The seminar was attended by students, lecturers, and activists of the IT community in Purwokerto and surrounding areas. Having participants with diverse backgrounds, the speaker brought two important things in the material, namely the introduction of Microsoft Azure and its integration in managerial matters.
Acting as a speaker, Agus Suparmo is an IT graduate from Gajah Mada University. Various kinds of awards are achieved, one of which is the title of Most Valuable Person (MVP) from Microsoft. The speaker delivered a variety of useful information about the latest technology from Microsoft, namely Microsoft Azure. In his presentation, it is said that Microsoft Azure is a cloud computing service that is very useful for organizations to face various business challenges using artificial intelligence technology.
Followed by Dr. Ade Irma Anggraeni as chairman of the Data Management Laboratory of Economics and Business Jenderal Soedirman University and at the same time acting as a speaker from academics, said that the use of artificial intelligence technology and learning machines will greatly assist academics and practitioners in their work processes. For example by integrating personal or group workflows. The event was closed with a discussion session where participants showed their enthusiasm about this latest technology. There was also a limited practice session for lucky participants to get a Microsoft Azure voucher.
