Department of Accounting, Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Jenderal Soedirman held a Paraphrase and Mendeley Engineering Webinar on Friday, July 23, 2021 at 13.00 using the Zoom Meetings application. This webinar must be attended by students of the 2018 Accounting study program and is open to all FEB Unsoed students. This webinar was also attended by lecturers of the Accounting Department. More than 100 participants attended this Webinar.
The facilitators for this Webinar were Dr. Icuk Rangga Bawono, SE., SH., M.H., M.Si., Ak., CA., Asean CPA., CPA., CTA. and Ratu Ayu Sri Wulandari MA., SE., M.Sc. with Moderator Dr. Hijroh Rokhayati, SE., M.Sc., Ak. The event was opened with remarks from the Head of the Accounting Department, Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Jenderal Soedirman Yudha Aryo Soedibyo, SE., M.Sc., Ph.D., Ak., CA., ACPA. The first facilitator was Dr. Icuk Rangga Bawono, SE., SH., MH., M.Si., Ak., CA., Asean CPA., CPA., CTA. explain the material on the Basics of Making Quality Scientific Work. In the explanation, the criteria for quality scientific work are explained, the ethical violations of scientific works that are often encountered, definitions, reasons, sanctions and ways to avoid plagiarism, and some paraphrasing techniques are also explained. After the presentation, it was followed by a question and answer session which was greeted enthusiastically by the webinar participants. Exercises are also given to paraphrase from three-sentence examples.

The next material is an explanation of how to manage references with Mendeley which is explained by the second facilitator, Ratu Ayu Sri Wulandari MA., SE., M.Sc. This presentation explained the definition of Mendeley, the installation process of the Mendeley application, how to use the Mendeley application, how to add references either manually or using a web browser, change or review reference details, add citations and bibliography to documents, and choose and change writing styles.

Participants were asked to install the Mendeley application and were given an exercise task of making citations using Mendeley from at least 3 scientific articles complete with bibliography columns. Participants worked on the exercise assignments enthusiastically and were given the opportunity to discuss about the Mendeley application. The event ended with a group photo session.
