On Saturday, 26 June 2021, a Career Discussion webinar successfully held the theme “What Company Looks in You?: Impressive Performance Strategy for a Progressive Career” by management student. This event was opened by Ayu Suratmi as MC and greeted by the Head of the Management Department, Faculty of Economics and Business UNSOED, Mr. Dr. Ratno Purnomo, M.Si where he hoped that students are oriented towards developing their careers in the future, whether it’s in a company, start-up or others. Students are expected to look impressive in it, so it will be the capital to develop their careers. He also hoped that students could fully aware of their potential and communicate it well to the company they want to offer.
The webinar begins at 1 pm and ends at 3 pm in Zoom Meeting. This event was attended by 146 participants and was guided by Aidha Nurul Aulia as moderator. In this event, the speaker which is Mr. Muhamad Purwono S.Psi as HR-GA Manager of PT. Bridgestone Tire Indonesia gave the participants tips on making an impressive strategy for a progressive career, started from the preparation stage, do’s and don’ts an interview, how to build a CV that HR likes and so on.
Although the webinar was held online because of the COVID situation, the participants’ enthusiasm was enormous. It’s proved in discussion session time, the questions that came from participants about materials were quite a lot. But Mr.Purwono can answer all of the questions well.
At the end of the webinar, the speaker gave all participants the motivation to call a “millennial generation” to find our journey to our success. He didn’t blame the characteristic of this generation as most people do. He said we should use our unique traits, especially for the fresh graduates. Fresh graduates should see and take advantage of even in most minor opportunities and keep developing their skills. (By : Rani-Management)
