On Wednesday, October 19, 2022, a public lecture was held with the theme Corporate Governance. The public lecture was organized by the Accounting Department, Faculty of Economics and Business, UNSOED with Dr. Dwi Martani, S.E., Ak., CA, CPA. As the speaker. The public lecture was held in a hybrid mode and was moderated by Dr. Widyahayu W. Kusumastati, S.E., S. Sos., M.Sc. Participants were not limited to the academic community within the Faculty of Economics and Business UNSOED. Many lecturers and practitioners from outside UNSOED had actively participated online.

The speaker explained the concepts, practices, developments and interrelationships of corporate governance with social and environmental responsibilities. In general, it is explained that a company is not managed to merely meet the expectations of stakeholders, but also to meet shareholders’ expectations. Corporate governance is defined as structure and process in companies to direct and oversee their business activities. The basic values ​​of corporate governance consist of transparency, accountability, responsibility, independence, and fairness.

At the beginning of the event, after the opening remarks by Yudha Aryo Sudibyo, M.Sc., Ak., CA., PhD. as the Deputy Dean for Academic Affairs, Dr. Wahyudin, M.Ag., lead to pray together with the participants. The activity was closed with handing over certificates to speaker and moderator by the chairman of the committee, Dr. Eliada Herwiyanti, S.E., M.Si., Ak., CA.
