Students from Universitas Jenderal Soedirman (Unsoed)’s Faculty of Economics and Business and Faculty of Biology once again presented achievements at the international level. This time at the Istanbul Youth Summit 2023, the delegates of the Faculty of Economics and Business and the Faculty of Biology of Unsoed were successfully selected to participate in the International Youth Conference activities in Turkey, namely Muhammad Abrar Rafi (Accounting Department 2020) and Haris Raditya Subandrio (International Biology Department 2019). The 2023 IYS took place in Istanbul, Turkey, on February 6–9, 2023. More than 20 countries attended this event. The YBB (Youth Break the Boundaries) foundation organizes IYS, which attracts participants from many nations including Malaysia, Turkey, Tunisia, India, Yemen, and Uzbekistan.
Muhammad Abrar Rafi said that this international event discusses the issue of SDGs, and each participant will be divided into several groups and then present problem-solving from the chosen theme to be presented in front of the jury. “In this event, participants will make presentations in full English,” he said. Haris Raditya Subandrio added that the international youth conference was exceptional because notable speakers from various nations attended. Such as lecturers from Durham University, UK, researchers from Pakistan, German researchers, and so on. “Then, at the end of the event, awards will be given to delegates who are able to obtain the best results. Such as, Best Delegate, Best Presentator, Best Project, and Most Active Group”, he concluded.
